Fate of Faith

I am the bough
dancing listlessly
midair

I am the tree
creaking in the wind
outside at night

I am the root
deeply rooted
beneath the earth

I am the fly
entangled in a wild dance
of fate and faith

Have You Ever (3)

Have you battled with dream and reality
when both are one and the same?
Have you had to grasp
what you thought was a fragment
of reality
only it was just a dream?

Have you struggled to accept
the savages left
by the storm of life
while drowning in the thoughts
of the used-to-be
the peripheral visions
of what ifs, could-bes and if evers?

If you haven’t,
You are yet to live
If you have,
As long as there is one more sunrise
And one sunset left for you
Nothing is impossible
Hold on

Cherophobia

It escapes in a hiss
Like the steam from a pressure pot
When I sigh it explodes with a pop
My limbs tremble
My joints are locked
I’m too tensed to sit still
I’m too still to move
I’m too ecstatic to rejoice
If fate sees my relief
Might bring me further ill
If I’m not glad
I’ll have no grief
I’m scared of being happy

ORÍ (Inner Self)

image

      (NaPoWriMo14 Day 27)

I wait in silence as fate speaks.
His dictates and acts not my own.
Minding not my wait, I’m just in haste.
All Ori requested, I’m being thrown?

Life unfolds as it is written.
No dictates of destiny worries can alter.
While I make plans, it follows its patterns.
Hoping in his pouch are days brighter.

I wait in prayer for what tomorrow brings.
Laying ’em all at the feet of the Maker.
He sees tomorrow, He can heal my sorrow.
Hoping He makes do His promises to the letter.

If Life Were Easy

image

If life were easy
I would walk this land barefoot
Just to feel these cold stones
On my cold dry foot

If life were easy
I would embrace the drizzle
Dance in it all day long
Feel its sweet wetness
On my milk pale skin

If life were easy
I would sit under the full moon
Chat all night with her occupant
About all my dreams
Were the clock to turn back its hands

If life were easy
I wouldn’t want you to know this life
Living my life in place of yours
Would spare you this hardship
And carry this burden alone

If life were easy
I would still wear these shoes
You, never try them on
I wouldn’t trade my life with yours
Would gladly wear this pain
If there is a chance it could be you

If life were easy
I would still want you in my life.

For you.
